Our Brief
As part of ArtsPeople’s ongoing role as Japan market development consultants for the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) we developed a series of Japanese-language promotional materials and multimedia content. We provided our expertise as relationship negotiators, market developers, and language interpreters between Australia and Japan in the delivery of the ACO’s commemorative Japan-release CD, the launch of their Japanese language website, and their Japanese fan Instagram page.

The Project
ArtsPeople developed promotional content and a marketing strategy targeted at Japanese classical music audiences. We played an editorial role in the production of their Japanese language website and Japan-release CD; we commissioned and curated writing from Japanese journalists and music specialists on the orchestra, and provided high-quality translations between English and Japanese. We also commissioned renowned Japanese graphic designer Keiji Terai to design the CD artwork. Featuring Brahms, Beethoven, and Bach recordings, the CD is available to purchase via Japanese distributors Tokyo M-Plus. Finally, we assisted in the launch of the Japanese Instagram fan page (managed by translator and Japan-fan Shoko Ono) to further expand their Japanese-language content. This includes orchestra highlights and captions entirely in Japanese.
The ACO will perform at Kioi Hall in Tokyo on Tuesday 10 October, 2023 for one night only.
