JURASSIC PLASTIC

Now Available to Tour!

Taking bookings from September 2023

Jurassic Plastic with Hiroshi Fuji

These sprawling recycled toy landscapes hit us with the reality of our disposable culture at point-blank range. An art antidote to mass-consumerism, Jurassic Plastic invites all ages to explore, play and create in a colourful wonderland featuring a large-scale ‘Toysaurus' art installation by Japanese artist Hiroshi Fuji.

Rummage through the ‘plastic swamp’, or get creative in hands-on craft workshops led by artist educators. At once beautiful and disarming, Jurassic Plastic is perfect for online display and promises high audience turnover.

A massive hit at the Sydney Festival in 2018, it is now ready to tour Australia & internationally.

“Jurassic Plastic proved that you could engage huge audience numbers in a fun art experience while speaking to larger, complex ideas. Fuji’s work has instant visual appeal, but what really resonated with me was the story about community exchange and the opportunity to consider our collective unease about the future of our environment.”

- Wesley Enoch,

former Artistic Director, Sydney Festival / commissioner ‘Jurassic Plastic’

“Absolutely brilliant on every level.”

- Manisha Lee, participant

“Great exhibition. More interactive art in the future please!”

- Georgia Wilson-William
