Join us for a trip around Japan with ArtsPeople’s Kathryn Hunyor, as she tours some recent art and architectural gems, explores the many arts festivals that have sprung up across the country, and considers how Japan is using art and design to revitalise regional areas and nurture urban communities.

Traversing the breadth of the country, we will hear about works by leading Japanese architects and artists such as Kengo Kuma, Kazuo Sejima, Ryue Nishizawa, Yayoi Kusama and Hiroshi Fuji, international contemporary artists Christian Boltanski and Marina Abramovic and Australian contemporary artists and architects Janet Laurence, Hossein Valamanesh and Andrew Burns.
