Following a sell-out talk in 2017, AGNSW have invited ArtsPeople’s Kathryn Hunyor to present another lecture on contemporary Japanese art and architecture. After living in Tokyo for the last three years, Kathryn is back in Sydney and will be sharing the latest stories from Japan’s creative scene.

For centuries Japanese artists have blended ‘traditional with contemporary’, and ‘imported with existing’ to create new, yet timeless, artistic expressions.

Join us on a journey from Niigata to Naoshima for ‘Eternal Design’ on Saturday 24 August, to see how contemporary creatives are doing it again, and why the arts in Japan have got their mojo back.

We encourage you to book quickly as spaces are limited.
